SMITHFIELD, VA., Nov. 2, 2017— Smithfield Foods, Inc. is pleased to announce its Missouri Hog Production Division employees’ donation of more than 2,000 cases of bottled water, equivalent to $16,000, benefiting local schools in Northern Missouri and Southern Iowa. “Each year, we truly look forward to Smithfield employees visiting our schools and greeting students and staff with this donation,” said Dave Daughton, superintendent for Wayne Community Schools in Corydon, Iowa. “Everyone comes together to unload the water bottles and it’s great for students to see how Smithfield is committed to helping the community.”
